We prepare our play-based lessons and use curriculum based on topics children enjoy, while noticing the seasons, celebrating birthdays and holidays and reading great picture books. We enjoy singing songs and playing games during circle time. We also like to go on field trips like the pumpkin patch or the zoo. Sometimes we invite family members to join us for special seasonal celebrations at Christmas, Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day.
A few of the many themes that we enjoy include Community Helpers, Dinosaurs, Outer Space, Fairy Tales, Pets, Insects, and Friendship. We also read and learn from the Bible and this is integrated into every theme we study. We include a Bible lesson and activity every week.
